On Monday, by news outlets big and small, it was called a surprise hearing. However, what was revealed Tuesday, 28 June, 2022, during the 6th hearing of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol should come as no surprise to anyone who paid attention to reports of even a week of events in or around the asylum that was the West Wing of the former Administration.
One of the most disturbing of the many disturbing exchanges during the hearing was the testimony under oath of Cassidy Hutchinson that the former guy knew the mob attacking the U.S. Capitol were armed with deadly weapons and he was not concerned about it.
Hutchinson, former senior aide to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, testified that former President Trump said, “You know, I don’t even care that they have weapons. They aren’t here to hurt me.”
