No Man or Woman Is Above The Law
With warrant in hand, the FBI on Monday evening ‘raided’ former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
Nobody yet knows the details of the warrant but speculation is the FBI was looking for documents the former president took from the White House and records he was supposed to turn over to the National Archives and Records Administration; these include possible classified materials related to U.S. National Security.
Not unexpected, hypocrites, hacks and liars of the far-right Republican Party and their American fascist propaganda networks were quick to do their dance over the FBI’s actions.
NOTE: The FBI was equipped with a legally obtained warrant to search the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence, gave prior notice to Secret Service agents on duty at the residence; the warrant signed off by, among others, the U.S. Attorney General, a Federal judge, who would have had to be convinced that there was probable cause of a crime, and by FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was nominated by Trump in 2017 after Trump fired James Comey.
Trump toadie and House Republican Minority Leader, Lying Kevin McCarthy, wrote in a post on social media that he is outraged at the FBI’s search at Mar-a-Lago. In his Twitter post, McCarthy warned the US Department of Justice that when Republicans take over the government in 2022 or 2024 he will lead fascist-style ‘investigations’ into the entirety of the agency.
The supposed righteous outrage directed at the FBI nowhere includes any mention of the FBI’s surprise report about possible ‘political crime’ of Hilary Clinton’s mishandling of sensitive documents using personal email accounts – 11 days before the 2016 Presidential election! That FBI, that report, was instrumental in bringing the hypocrites, hacks and liars to much needed orgasms.
