Ethan Crumbley’s mother and father face charges in the wake of a Michigan school shooting that left four students dead and seven people injured.

Earlier in the week, after one of Ethan’s teachers caught him researching ammunition on his phone during class, his parents failed to respond to a voicemail and email from the school alerting them, according to Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald.

Instead, Jennifer texted Ethan: “lol I’m not mad at you, you have to learn not to get caught.”
